Love It: Statement Necklaces

I was doing some last minute shopping this past weekend and thought I would treat myself to a little something nice as well! (I should be rewarded for getting all of my shopping done on time, right?)

I came across some great jewelry at South Moon Under and was really surprised at the selection of necklaces, priced both high and low. A unique necklace or piece of jewelry is always a great gift, whether it is for a friend, girlfriend, or yourself.

Here are a few of my faves (and the one I bought myself!)

In the fall Mavis will be a freshman at Columbia University and hopes to study acting. Cute and overall seems like a good pick for Miss Golden Globes!

Taylor Goes Glam in T: The New York Times Style Magazine

Holiday Gift Ideas

I love this time of the year...cities are dressed up with ribbons and bows, people seem to have a little more cheer on their face and in their step, and Starbucks even has those lovely red cups!

I also love gift giving and one of my fave Web sites, Who What Wear, pulled together this little gift guide for the "very style savvy lady—the Editor in Training." Love all of these things!

I am working on throwing together a little gift guide to share but in the mean time, enjoy!

Must Read: The Carrie Diaries

Sex & the City author Candace Bushnell is publishing a new book, The Carrie Diaries, which will give us a glimpse of Carrie Bradshaw's high school days. Sometimes I get annoyed when authors try to cash in on their franchises, but I think this book will be fab, and I can't wait to read it!

The book visits Carrie's first love and how she became a writer among many other things. The Carrie Diaries will hit shelves about a month before Sex & the City 2 hits theaters! The movie, and now the book make me wish it were spring already!

"Dude, I'm Chuck Bass. Even Europeans must know what that means."

I am addicted to Gossip Girl (admitting it is the first step, right?) I own a "Team Chuck" t-shirt and I am proud of it. I am often obsessing over the fab wardrobes of S and B and still find Nate's man bangs to be nothing but charming.

I am going to let you all in on a little secret that is The Daily Intel's Gossip Girl Recap. Every Tuesday morning, I get hop on the train, get to the office, grab a coffee and start my day be reading the episode recap of the night before and it is always brill!

Here is a link to today's recap, enjoy!

Blake Lively’s Hair Is the New ‘Rachel’

Let me start off by saying that I love Blake Lively. She is gorgeous, and she is a celebrity who looks fit but most importantly looks healthy. I love watching her as Serena Van Der Woodson every Monday night on Gossip Girl and find myself not only coveting her wardrobe, but also her hair! It is her real hair and it is amazing.

I saw this article from The Cut on how her hair is the "new Rachel." Apparently, John Barrett, whose salon is in Bergdorf Goodman in NYC, said that his clients “don’t just want the hair, they want the life.” Love it!
