OK, so I love wearing heels just as much as the next girl and always feel a bit sexier when I am wearing them. But, my my feet cannot handle them everyday!

I must confess to you all that I am really loving the unisex shoe trend for Fall. I think these will be super cute paired with some slouchy boyfriend jeans, little dresses or even knee high socks or tights for some Blair Waldorf inspired prep looks.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler Joins Cast of Ugly Betty!

Ugly Betty is one of my fave shows to watch! Centering around working at a fashion mag, naturally the show includes pretty people, amazing clothes and lovable and quirky characters.

As Betty was promoted last season, Jamie-Lynn Sigler was brought in to replace Betty as Daniel's assistant. I am excited to see how the new addition plays out and can't wait to see what next season brings!

It is no secret that I have a girl crush on Eva Mendes. She might be one of the best looking people I have ever seen. She is beautiful, a great actress (hello, have you seen Hitch? haha)and she has great style to top it off. She is no stranger to looking awesome on the red carpet, and she always manages to look effortless in her everyday style. Recently, Eva was spotted on vacation in Italy and I love her look here! It just oozes summer.

Life has kept me pretty busy lately so I have not been updating the blog as much! Yesterday I was in NYC for work...not any time to play, but did take some pics in Times Square and got a yummy soft pretzel from a street vendor, love it!

I love shopping and I love shopping for gifts. One thing I always do before buying a gift, is a little online window shopping to get some ideas. One Web site that I particularly love is Gifts.com.

Gifts.com allows you to shop by personality type, or take a quiz to find out what personality type your gift recipient falls under, and then suggests gift ideas. This morning I took the quiz to find out where my good friend Morgan falls, and Gift.com deemed her a "Trendanista." I think this is so dead on, right down to Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and Rachel Bilson as famous examples of trendanistas.

Now I am looking into some gift ideas as she celebrates the big 2-4 on July 22. Luckily I will be in town to celebrate with her this year! Can't wait!

Accessories can really make or break an outfit, and this post is dedicated to belts. They make us look slimmer, make us look chic and most importantly distract attention from problem areas.
I recently picked up this belt in a few colors (I am wearing it in black today), and wanted to give credit to retailers like Forever 21 that make looking great really affordable.

I recently hit up Victoria's Secret Semi-Annual sale to scoop up some new bras and found the perfect one! No really, VS has a new bra appropriately named "The Perfect One" and it might be the best bra I have ever purchased! Since it is new, it is specially priced at a sweet $29.50...totally worth the money!

Friday Jams

OK, so I have been doing this blog thing for about a week now. In addition to my "Daily Obsession," every Friday I am going to post a video of my "Friday Jam." Jams will be random and might be something new or something totally old school--just whatever I am feeling!

I don't know about everyone else, but listening to music helps me get through the work day, especially on Friday afternoons :)

I love this Ark & Co black dress! From the front it is not too exciting but I just love the back on this! I just might have to give it a try, it has brithday dress potential!

When Using a Shopping Trolley is OK...

When I first moved to DC, I made fun of my friend Lisa for buying a shopping trolley to cart around her groceries. But, I soon realized that many people do not have cars in the city and using a trolley to transport groceries makes life much easier.

I still think that people look absolutely rediculous pushing these carts around, but Crate & Barrel has made these things look good with their new, lime-green shopping trolley. I wish it came it pink, then maybe I would buy one!

Erin is leaving the cast of The City!

I love MTV's "reality" show, The City. It stars pretty people in NYC that have jobs like doing PR at DVF, modeling and being a "social." BUT, my favorite part of the show was Whitney's friend, Erin.

Sad,sad news that Erin will not be back for season two of The City! Here is an article from NY Magazine on why she is out.

It was just yesterday that I was discussing Nate Archibold's man bangs. Apparently, today it is announced that man bangs are over. Sigh.

As my friend Amanda pointed out to me today, I have yet to make birthday plans and the big 24 (almost time for a quarter life crisis), is coming up next month! What should I do for my birthday this year, and more importantly...what am I going to wear?!

One of my favorite Web sites is WhoWhatWear. The site was launched by former employees of Elle magazine, and it is fabulous! I subscribe to the emails and get updates about what celebrities are wearing, coverage of fashion week and the best of the current trends.

The site offers a shopping closet and product suggestions that range from budget friendly to really splurge-worthy items. You can also write in to get fashion advice from a stylist and to ask, "What was she wearing?" about your favorite celebs.

It is def worth checking out if you are a fashion addict like me!

Store I am loving: Free People

I try to make it a habit to pop into the Free People store by my apartment whenever I have the time. I must say that it has great accessories right now! I bought this cute bow headband recently (and sported it on July 4th), and an awesome pair of leopard sunglasses!

July 4th in DC

I hope everyone had a great Holiday weekend! Last year I was at the beach for the 4th but this year stayed in DC to celebrate (along with many, many tourists!). The weather was great and so was the fireworks show on the National Mall. Shout out to Lisa, Jer and B for the good company :)

I have a love for all things HGTV and love watching all of the design and decorating shows. This is one thing I can def attribute to my mother...she is literally Susie Homemaker :)

Gossip Girl Target Collection

Like many others, I am obsessed with Gossip Girl. I love Chuck Bass' purple pants, Blair's signature headbands, Nate's man bangs and how could I forget Dorota? These things aside, the show is known for its amazing fashion. Designer Anna Sui has teamed up with Target for a Gossip Girl inspired collection that will let fans dress like their favorite character. I know I will definitely check the line out when it hits stores in September. If I can't have Serena's hair, I will take her wardrobe!
